This WebQuest is part of a unit on waves in a high school physics class. It is designed to follow a standard introduction to waves, but might be altered to be interspersed with lessons if this is better suited for a specific classroom. The students are not required to use search engines to find resources, as they are provided, but they must be able to sort through large amounts of material and choose relevant information.
In order to be able to successfully be able to complete this project your students should
- Have a basic understanding behind the physics of waves and wave properties
- Be able to sort through provided material quickly and efficiently
- Be comfortable using computers, word processors, the internet
- Work well in groups
